In 2013, Sylvain Leroux began working with the students of the Centre Tyabala, an alternative arts in education initiative in Conakry, conducting an experimental education project based on the "chromatic tambin" patented modification of the traditional guinean Fula flute. Now, six years later, the students have become fierce and committed musicians and a new crop is following right on their heels.
